Ep. 68 - Dr. Ido Cohen - Archetypes, The Masculine & Feminine, Polarity, & Plant Medicine Integration

YouTube version:

Audio version:

Hey everybody! Episode 68 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with my friend Dr. Ido Cohen. Ido came on episode 57 with our mutual friend Deanna Rogers and I thought it would be great to have him back as a solo interview. We got into a lot of really fascinating topics on this episode such as archetypes, the ideas of polarity, how that relates to the masculine and feminine, and how these can be used as integration tools. We touched on a variety of really interesting topics and I really enjoyed this conversation for its breadth and depth. I think you all will really enjoy this conversation with Ido as much as I did. Following his interest in eastern spirituality, kabbalah and shamanic traditions, Ido dedicated his doctoral dissertation to a 6 year study of the integration process of Ayahuasca ceremonies, while applying Jungian psychology to better understand how to support individuals in their process of change and transformation. Ep. 64 - Benjamin Wati Wara - Shamanism, Ayahuasca, Tobacco, & The Bushmen

YouTube version:

Audio version:

Hey everybody! Episode 64 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with my friend Ben. Ben and I have had a similar path in life. We've both had a similar quest and interest in spirituality, shamanism, martial arts, and religion. We both have spent time with different cultures learning about various paths of healing and medicine. And we both share a common teacher who works with Amazonian medicine. So I knew we would have a lot to talk about and to share. This was a long podcast and we went into a lot of topics around shamanism, plant medicines, ayahuasca, tobacco, and also touched on some of the current world situation. I really enjoyed catching up with Ben and having him share in his wisdom, life path, and thoughts. We had a pretty deep conversation, and Ben has a lot of wisdom to share through his many years of self-exploration and medicine paths. I hope and think you all will get a lot out of this episode. “Over the last 20 years, Benjamin has spent extensive time living and learning from traditional healers in Asia, Africa, North America, South America and Australasia. Benjamin has spent long periods in the Amazon and has worked with many Curanderos (healers) there. While in the Amazon, he completed an apprenticeship as a Tabaquero with one of the most renowned and skilled Tabaquero’s in Peru. As well as learning from traditional healers, he is also an Acupuncturist and Qigong Practitioner. Benjamin likes to bring this knowledge to all of his teaching and healing work.”

Dr. Cundari is trained to care for patients of all different ages and can address a wide range of health concerns. However, her approach extends to a particular passion for mental health and mind-body medicine. She treats each patient visit uniquely and views each patient through a compassionate lens. Her perspective on achieving optimal health is to restore the connection between mind and body, create balance, stimulate the healing power within and treat the underlying cause of illness.

Patient-centered care is central in her work, meaning the focus is on individual patient needs. Her plans are individualized and her intention is to always meet the patient where they are at. Dr. Cundari is passionate about working with people who want to achieve a better quality of life, who feel stuck and who are looking for more enjoyment and fulfillment. Initial appointments with Dr. Cundari include an in-depth discussion of health history and future intentions. Depending on individual patient's future goals, a plan will be discussed at the end of the visit. She uses a wide range of tools in her practice that include: herbal medicines, pharmaceuticals, nutrient support, nutrition/lifestyle counseling, integration of altered states of consciousness, somatic therapy, and body work.”
