Hey everybody! Episode 166 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Sam Believ. Sam is an interesting guy. I was recently on his podcast and had him on mine. We spoke about Sam’s past working as an engineer, his depression that eventually led him to ayahuasca or yagé, and how he eventually founded a center in Colombia. We spoke about these things and some of the culture in Colombia around the traditions and uses of yagé. It was a very interesting conversation and I think you all will gain a lot from Sam’s story, his knowledge of yagé and Colombia, and his insights into this medicine. “Sam Believ is a prominent figure in the field of psychedelic therapy and plant medicine. He is the founder of LaWayra Ayahuasca Retreat, in Colombia, which has rapidly become one of the most highly rated and reviewed Ayahuasca retreat centers in South America. Established in 2022, LaWayra focuses on providing accessible and transformative Ayahuasca experiences to individuals seeking healing and personal growth.
Believ's journey into the world of plant medicine began with a profound personal transformation. After experiencing a life-changing Ayahuasca ceremony that alleviated his depression and helped him discover his purpose, he was inspired to share this healing modality with others. This led to the creation of AyahuascaPodcast.com, a platform dedicated to exploring the therapeutic potential of Ayahuasca and other psychedelics. Through the podcast, Believ interviews experts, shares success stories, and delves into topics such as trauma healing, mental health breakthroughs, and the intersection of science and spirituality.
In addition to his work with LaWayra and the podcast, Believ has been featured on various platforms discussing the significance of authenticity in Ayahuasca ceremonies. He emphasizes the importance of selecting reputable retreat centers and experienced facilitators to ensure safe and meaningful experiences.
Believ's contributions to the field have made him a respected voice in the psychedelic community, advocating for the responsible and transformative use of plant medicines to promote healing and personal development.”
